Movie News: 18 TOP MOVIES OF 2017 YOU SHOULD WATCH

Though 2016 is turning out up to be an great year for movies, it nearly feels like a warm-up when you take a look at the long list of blockbuster films already on queue on the release calendar for 2017. Even though 2017 still feels far away, it's never too early to get excited about taking a trip to the cinemas, so i've lined up 19 of the biggest upcoming releases—and whether you're into action, comedy, or etc there is something here for everybody...

1. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter - January 27

Five years after Resident Evil: Retribution, Milla Jovovich comes back to finish off the science fiction horror establishment she's drove for over 10 years—and about $1 billion in overall nets. Notwithstanding the long slip by between the sequels, this 6th portion will supposedly get right where Retribution left off while taking after executive Paul W.S. Anderson's command to complete the cycle with the adventure of a tragic future in which a corporate-made infection has unleashed a zombie plague.

 2. Furious 8 - April 14

The destiny of the Furious establishment appeared somewhat questionable in the wake of star Paul Walker's sudden passing in 2013, which muddled production of 2015's Furious 7 and put the weight of extra desires on his long-lasting co-star and companion, Vin Diesel. Be that as it may, with almost $4 billion in overall earns, Universal wasn't going to garage its gearhead soap opera, so the group will return for an eighth portion—and one that is now being set up as a callback to past sections and additionally a springboard into another set of three that will allegedly see stories rotate far from the heist tricks of late continuations and into a spy adventure initiated by Kurt Russell's Frank Petty character.

3. Friday the 13th Reboot - January 13

Pity today's young film fans, for they've never encountered the cheese bliss that was being dealt with to normal portions of Friday the thirteenth all through the '80s. Somewhere around 1980 and 1989, the hockey-covered slasher Jason Voorhees hacked his way through scores of shouting nubile casualties in eight movies—in spite of the fact that before the decade's over, the establishment had begun to waver amongst stale and strange, and ensuing endeavors to expand or reboot the character's mythology have neglected to draw quite a bit of a taking after. This most recent redesign arrives almost 10 years after the last reboot, which earned about $100 million. Albeit little  thought about the plot, we're almost certain it needs to do with a person in a hockey cover slashing sexed-up adolescents to bits.

4. Wonder Woman - June 23

In the wake of being introduced to the audiences in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman will get her own standalone highlight, which is supposed to be the principal portion in a period-piece set of three that will take gatherings of people from the 1920s to the present day.

5. Despicable Me 3 - June 30

From its modest beginnings as a toon around an entertaining watching supervillain who embarks to take the moon and winds up embracing three delightful munchkins, Despicable Me has developed into a stunningly versatile establishment for Universal. Notwithstanding 2013's Despicable Me 2, it's likewise spun off a prequel (2015's Minions), six short movies, three computer games, and an amusement park fascination—and as should be obvious from the 2017 discharge plan, it isn't done yet. Subtle elements are still exceptionally scrappy with respect to this third portion, however we can securely accept Steve Carell will be back as the evil (yet kinda cuddly) Gru—and we know he'll be working from a script composed by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, who teamed up on the initial two movies.

6. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - May 5

At first, it appeared like a hilariously stupid thought for Marvel to turn a generally cloud comic around a ragtag group of intergalactic do-gooders—whose positions incorporate a raccoon-like animal and an outsider taking after an aware tree—into a $200 million film. About $775 million in film industry receipts later, Guardians of the Galaxy could be the begin of an Avengers-style establishment for the studio.

7. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales - May 26

Pre-creation on this fifth portion in the Pirates of the Caribbean adventure began back when the past sequel, 2011's On Stranger Tides, was en route to theaters, and its way through advancement has been strewn with script troubles and spending plan prompted delays. Still, any new part in an establishment that is earned about $4 billion considers a promising advancement for the studio, and Disney has remained by while maker Jerry Bruckheimer directed Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales to its destination.

8. Thor: Ragnarok - November 3

In Norse mythology, Ragnarök is a whole-world destroying arrangement of occasions that results in the planet being dove into water after the passings of a few divine beings—including Odin, Thor, and Loki—and finishes in a planetary resurrection. Obviously, it's conspicuous from the title that Thor: Ragnarok won't be a jaunty decent time for our sledge wielding legend (Chris Hemsworth), in spite of the fact that we can figure from his up and coming support in the up and coming Avengers: Infinity War films that he'll rise generally unscathed after the last demonstration. Whatever happens here, he'll be joined by Mark Ruffalo, repeating his Marvel Universe part as Bruce Banner/the Hulk, and working under the heading of New Zealand movie producer Taika Waititi.

9. Untitled Wolverine Sequel - March 3

Hugh Jackman has played Wolverine for so long that it's almost difficult to envision any other person in the part of the adamantium-ripped at X-Men mutant. Before long, Fox should make sense of who'll be the following performer to fill the role, yet to start with, Jackman's getting his swan tune with a third standalone Wolverine highlight. Now, the film's plot is simply a matter of hypothesis—a large portion of which includes the idea that we could be in for an adjustment of Marvel's Old Man Logan funny, around an other future variant of the (about) ever-enduring saint. In any case, in a late meeting, Jackman proposed Wolverine 3 could likewise realize the arrival of Patrick Stewart's Professor X, including yet another layer of conclusion for long-lasting fanatics of the establishment.

10. Beauty and the Beast - March 17

Disney's campaign to turn each of their animated classics into live-action blockbusters continues with Beauty and the Beast, which offers a new perspective on their 1991 hit. Like Disney's earlier Beauty, this version draws inspiration from the classic fairy tale about a prince (played here by Dan Stevens) who's cursed with a grotesque appearance, yet finds love with a pure-hearted maiden (Emma Watson) imprisoned in his castle after her father (Kevin Kline) offers her up in a deal to spare his own life.

11. Lego Batman - February 10

Not long ago, the idea of a movie "based on" Legos seemed too silly for words, but then The Lego Movie racked up nearly $470 million while making us all root for plastic bricks (and play "Everything Is Awesome" on endless repeat).

12. SpiderMan: Homecoming - July 7

Sony's desires for a Spider-Man film universe were managed a humiliating difficulty after executive Marc Webb's reboots failed to meet expectations. In any case, regardless of the possibility that we aren't getting a Sinister Six or Venom motion picture at any point in the near future, the center establishment remains a top need at the studio—as confirm by this new reboot, which will discover Tom Holland featuring as the web-slinger in a standalone film while doing twofold obligation as a supporting player in various Marvel motion pictures (beginning with Captain America: Civil War).

13. Justice League: Part 1 - November 17

Marvel has made a splendid showing with regards to of laying out the format for a fruitful shared universe, and now Warner Bros. is emulating its opponent's example with its DC Comics properties, which are because of get their first minutes in the top pick superhero group spotlight with Justice League: Part 1. Executive Zack Snyder has effectively consented to rudder, and affirmed individuals from the cast incorporate stars from the studio's previous establishments, including Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, and Ben Affleck, as Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman, separately and we will likewise see superheroes, for example, The flash, The green lantern and Cyborg.

14. War for the Planet of the Apes - July 14

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes executive Matt Reeves returns for this postliminary, which grabs from Dawn's last scene—a dreary hinting of the significant clash preparing between hereditarily upgraded primates and a human populace demolished by an infection named the Simian Flu. Andy Serkis is back as the primates' pioneer, Caesar, whose excursion from youthful chimp to honorable warrior has framed the spine for the establishment's general curve. He's joined by Steve Zahn (as another chimp) and Woody Harrelson (as a character known as the Colonel, purportedly the film's main enemy).

15. Alien: Covenant - October 6

With 2012's Prometheus, Ridley Scott made his willingly anticipated come back to the Alien establishment by method for a prequel that indicated at the long-prior beginnings of his blockbuster adventure's story. Under the heaviness of decades of spin-offs, spinoffs, and desires, the final result really wanted to disillusion a few viewers, and regardless of a $400 million gross and generally positive surveys, there's a feeling of unfinished business hanging over the continuation.

16. World War Z 2 - June 9

For a movie that tried to spin an action-thriller yarn out of a bestseller that used the oral history format to tell the story of a worldwide zombie outbreak—and had an infamously troubled production in the bargain—World War Z turned out to be a surprisingly entertaining (not to mention extremely commercially successful) film. Which brings us to the inevitable sequel, World War Z 2, in which Brad Pitt returns to battle the zombie plague.

17. Transformers 5 - TBD

Every time Michael Bay thinks he's out of the Transformers franchise, they pull him back in with a fresh boatload of cash. Bay's been making noises about being done with Optimus Prime and his buddies for years, and was initially only on board to produce this installment in the series. But the executives at Paramount must have been pretty persuasive, because he's still in the director's seat for what he insists will be his final Transformers film.

18. Star Wars: Episode VIII - December 15

This is Star Wars we're discussing, so the rundown of things we really think about Episode VIII is horrendously short. However, we do know two or three imperative actualities: one, Rian Johnson (Looper) will be in the executive's seat; and two, the vast majority of Episode VII's thrown will be back, including Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver, alongside OG establishment stars Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.

I hope this list gets you excited. Dont forget to share.

Movie News, Thor: Ragnarok to Begin Filming On July 4th

Thor: Ragnarok, the upcoming third instalment in the adventures of Thor Odinson, will feature the titular Asgardian and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, both of whom were absent in Civil War due to Hulk going missing and Thor likely wanting no part in our petty human squabbles. Fans will be particularly looking forward to seeing what became of Bruce Banner after, in what was presumably a very tough decision, he spurned the affections of Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and jetted off to parts unknown due to his inability to control the big green monster lurking within him.

Fresh from the critical and commercial success of Captain America: Civil War, Marvel Studios has announced that Thor: Ragnarok will begin filming on July 4th 2016 and is expected to finish around late October. Filming will primarily take place at Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast in Australia, allowing the film’s star, Chris Hemsworth, to remain close to his wife and three young children whilst production takes place.

Directed by Taika Waititi, the third Thor entry will feature a star studded cast that includes Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Karl Urban as Skurge and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie. It’s now been confirmed that Tom Hiddleston’s fan favourite troublemaker Loki will make an appearance too, which is not surprising given the cliffhanger at the end of Thor: The Dark World. Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and Heimdall (Idris Elba) are also confirmed for Ragnarok, whereas Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) is expected to be back. Thor’s love interest Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman, will not be making an appearance, however.

The concept of Thor: Ragnarok has been described as a “buddy picture” with plenty of “back and forth” by Mark Ruffalo, so you can expect copious amounts of banter between the two Avengers – though you’d imagine Thor would hold back a little, given Banner’s anger management issues. Nevertheless, the presence of Hulk and the seemingly intergalactic setting has sparked speculation that Marvel is heading towards a Planet Hulk-style storyline; something comic readers will know has the potential to be very special indeed.

Movie News: Kingsman 2: Everything we know so far: cast, release date and plot details

Kingsman 2 has finally been given an official title, with director Matthew Vaughn also treating fans to some cheeky plot teasers.

The spy spoof follow-up will be called Kingsman: The Golden Circle and see Taron Egerton’s Eggsy head state-side with Mark Strong’s Merlin to work for secret US spy society Statesmen.

Statesmen HQ is disguised as a whisky distellery and once there, Eggsy and Merlin will be tasked with defeating the villainous Poppy, played by Julianne Moore.
Halle Berry joins the cast as Statesmen leader Ginger and as for Colin Firth, it has finally been all-but-confirmed that he will return as suave agent Harry Hart.

The first poster showed Harry’s trademark glasses lying on a letter reading “Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated”. Egerton shared the picture on Twitter and captioned it “A message from an old friend”, prompting fans to breathe a collective sigh of relief that more Harry and Eggsy action sequences must surely await. How Vaughn plans to bring Harry back remains a mystery at this stage, so here’s hoping it’s resolved logically.

Vaughn recently told Empire that fans are eager for “another church sequence” like the one from original film Kingsman: The Secret Service, in which Harry went on a mass killing spree.

“I have no reason for another massacre to happen,” he said. “But I have other sequences you’ve never seen before.”

These sequences look set to feature robot dogs, one-armed henchmen, skiing, bar brawls and, of course, a “massive f**king frankfurter” that wages war on the heroes. Would you expect anything less from the Kingsman franchise?

Elton John is reportedly in talks to make an appearance, possibly playing himself, while Channing Tatum has confirmed himself for a mystery supporting role.

The first Kingsman film grossed over £260 million at the global box office early last year, with Samuel L Jackson starring as evil billionaire Richmond Valentine.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is set to reach UK cinemas on 16 June 2017.

Deadpool 2: Dolph Lundgren Wants to Play Cable

Ever since it was announced that Deadpool 2 would be a team-up with Cable, there have been plenty of ideas about who should play the role of the time-traveling mutant with the bionic arm. From Stephen Lang to Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm, there are a number of actors who have either nominated themselves or been nominated for the part.

But what if there were a man whose qualifications for the job included decades of experience as a leading man in action movies, including a Marvel superhero movie? Those qualifications could easily make him a top contender for the role. As it turns out, one such man has stepped forward to express his interest.

In an interview with Nerdist, former Punisher star Dolph Lundgren was asked if he saw himself returning to the Marvel universe as a different character. His response was that there was one character in particular who had caught his attention:

“That’s a good question. I haven’t watched a lot of these superhero movies; for some reason, I don’t know, I’m just busy making films. I did hear in… Deadpool, isn’t there a character named Cable that’s coming? Like, he’s a big guy? I guess I could kick some butt doing that, I suppose. We’ll see. When I saw the picture, he looks a little bit like Ivan Drago mixed with Gunner Jensen mixed with… I don’t know.”

Cable is an older man in the comics, despite being the son of Scott Summers and Madelyne Pryor. Time travel has the tendency to make things confusing like that. Lundgren himself is 58 years old, which puts him in roughly the right age range. While his blond hair might not be the perfect match for the role, that’s nothing a simple dye job couldn’t fix. While his turn as the Punisher back in the late ’80s isn’t generally regarded as the most successful movie based on a Marvel character, it was also one of the earliest attempts, well before Marvel studios came into existence or Fox made the first X-Men movie.

So with his past superhero experience, as well as his having starred in more action movies than many people even get around to watching in their lifetimes, Lundgren could indeed be a legit contender for the role of Cable. On the other hand, most of his more recent work has been in the straight-to-video realm with movies such as The Good, the Bad, and the Dead and Kindergarten Cop 2. Neither film is poised to win any Oscars, and being relegated to movies most likely to appear in gas station bargain bins probably will not help Lundgren get taken seriously as a contender for a lead role in a movie as high profile as Deadpool 2.

Time will tell if Lundgren is called in to audition for the role that would put him opposite Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. For as long as that role goes unfilled, though, he will probably not be the last actor to express interest.

Deadpool is now available on Digital HD. X-Men: Apocalypse will open in U.S. theaters on May 27, 2016, followed by Wolverine 3 on March 3, 2017, and unannounced X-Men films on October 6, 2017 (possibly Gambit), January 12, 2018 (possibly Deadpool 2), and July 13, 2018 (possibly The New Mutants).

Avengers 3: Everything We Know About Infinity War

Between the movies, the one shots, the limited-series and the television shows, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is constantly growing bigger and bigger week to week - and it’s all headed in a rather epic direction. As confirmed by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, everything we’ve seen so far in the comic book movie world has been building towards an epic big screen battle against the alien warlord known as Thanos, and that huge event will unfold across two huge blockbusters: 2018’s The Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2019’s The Avengers: Infinity War Part 2.

But who amongst the established heroes and villains in the MCU can we expect to see pop up in the movie? Who are the filmmakers responsible for making it? Well, to organize all of that key information we have organized this handy guide, which we’ll keep updating to let you know the latest info about the giant blockbuster. Read on!

The Release Date
As was announced in October 2014, Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 will be released on May 4, 2018, and Part 2 will follow on May 3, 2019. However, it’s worth pointing out that directors Joe and Anthony Russo mentioned that the movies for these movies will likely be retitled at some point, as the titles currently are "misleading." So even though they’re coming out a year apart from each other and will both involved Thanos, don’t expect them to be intricately connected to one another, i.e. each one half of the same story.

The Writers And The Directors
Marvel Studios seems to have a lot of trust in abilities of the directing duo Joe and Anthony Russo and writing pair Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus. The four men first worked together on Captain America: The Winter Soldier; they re-teamed for Captain America: Civil War; and now have been locked in to orchestrate things behind the scenes for Avengers: Infinity War. The 2018/2019 two-parter should definitely be a different kind of beast then the second and third Captain America movies, but given how great both Winter Soldier and Civil War turned out, it’s pretty damn hard to doubt their abilities.

Heroes To expect in Avenger 3
🔴 Iron Man
🔴 Captain America
🔴Thor
🔴black widow

🔴Scarlet Witch

The Mummy: Official Movie Reboot Synopsis Released

Universal Pictures is hoping to win big at the box office this summer, by kicking off their shared universe of classic monster films with a modern-day reboot of The Mummy. The film is headlined by blockbuster star Tom Cruise, and directed by Alex Kurtzman (the co-writer/producer of Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness), with Chris Morgan – the screenwriter/producer for the Fast & Furious franchise – serving as producer on this and all Universal monster movie reboots moving forward.

Details on the plot have been sketchy so far, outlined simply as Cruise’s former Navy SEAL working with an archaeologist (Annabelle Wallis) to stop a resurrected female mummy (Sofia Boutella). Both Jake Johnson (New Girl) and Courtney B. Vance (Terminator Genisys) have been cast as members of the military. The new version of the story takes place in the present day, and is being constructed as more of a “dark superhero action/adventure” than a straightforward horror film.

Now Universal has released an official synopsis of The Mummy, and the cascade of powerful adjectives indicates that the studio is planning to turn the classic supernatural monster tale into something exponentially more epic. The official text (seen below) describes a “spectacular” retelling of an ages-old legend:

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

Early set photos showed Cruise and Wallis filming a night shoot in Oxford, England, and this summary indicates that a decent portion of the action will take place there. The description of “terrors that defy human comprehension” also suggest that action will be aspiring to more terrifying effects than the giant sandstorms and flesh-eating scarabs of the 1999 film version of The Mummy.

The reference to “a new world of gods and monsters” is a quote from the 1935 movie, Bride of Frankenstein, one of a quartet of horror films directed by James Whale. A reboot of that Bride story, with a script by David Koepp (Jurassic Park) and possibly starring Angelina Jolie, is slated to join The Mummy as one of Universal’s new “Monster Franchise Films”. Russell Crowe is in talks to possibly play Dr. Jekyll in The Mummy, which could lead to his own solo movie or at least future appearances in the franchise. Other planned projects include The Invisible Man (starring Johnny Depp), Dracula, and Van Helsing.

The synopsis doesn’t give us a ton of new information, but it does suggest this will be a very ambitious project. The idea that The Mummy will balance “wonder and thrills” seems to confirm that the filmmakers will be embracing the action and adventure aspects over a subtler, more claustrophobic horror style. Hopefully this doesn’t translate to wall-to-wall CGI, which can end up as rather hollow entertainment. The best classic horror stories combine terror with poignant tragedy, and while popcorn movies don’t need to be literary masterpieces, this “imaginative new take” would likely do better with critics and fans if there’s at least some substance to the spectacle.

The Mummy will open in U.S. theaters on June 9th, 2017, followed by Untitled Universal Monster Franchise Films on April 13th, 2018 and February 15th, 2019.

Deadpool 2 Is Already In The Works, Here's What We Know

In case you hadn't noticed, Deadpool is getting quite a bit of buzz. Critics have been giving it positive reviews the last few days, raising its profile, and right now it looks like the comic book movie could make as much as $70 million in its first weekend. So you know what that means... it's sequel time!

The Hollywood Reporter has gotten word from its sources that 20th Century Fox is already very eager for more Deadpool action, and have apparently given Deadpool 2 the green light behind closed doors. As you probably could have guessed, Ryan Reynolds will be back in the titular role, and the trade says that Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick - producers on the film and the only writers to work on the script - will be taking care of the screenplay.

If the trade's sources are correct, that's three big and important names being brought back for Deadpool 2, but the big question mark of the moment seems to be surrounding director Tim Miller. The filmmaker signed on to make the first Deadpool movie all the way back in April 2011, but apparently is not contracted for a follow-up. That being said, the report says that Fox is eager to keep the four key players together, so Miller will probably be back in the director's chair again.

Story-wise, there really is an incredible number of directions that Deadpool 2 can go in - as he has been a character consistently featured in Marvel Comics for decades (on beyond his own series, which passed 250 issues last year). One popular option that fans have been clamoring for would be to see him as part of a team-up film - specifically X-Force:

If you wanted to make X-Force as a completely separate project, however, there would also be the option of simply making Deadpool 2 as Deadpool & Cable - a buddy movie that features the Merc With The Mouth teaming up with/annoying the piss out of Cable, an incredibly powerful mutant from the future who also happens to be Cyclops' son. The studio could always follow Deadpool & Cable with X-Force, given that Cable was the original leader of the team:

Right now we don't have any firm details about the story direction for Deadpool 2, or when 20th Century Fox has plans to release it, but we will be hungrily waiting for it. In the meantime, what do you want to see from the Deadpool sequel? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Not-so-super actors who are ruining superhero shows

There are a lot of great superhero shows on television these days. But there are also a lot of actors who seem to think their superpower is chewing scenery. That might work for Matter-Eater Lad (Google him), but it's coming pretty close to ruining some otherwise fun shows. Here's a spoiler-filled look at some actors who need to be reminded that with great power comes the great responsibility not to screw things up for everyone.
 Arrow: Paul Blackthorne
Let's start right at the top with the biggest offender in superhero television: Paul Blackthorne. Blackthorne (right) plays police captain Quentin Lance, father of both Dinah and Sara Lance, occasional lackey to Damien Darhk, and the character voted most likely to make the audience burst into giggle fits at completely inappropriate moments. That's because Blackthorne hyper-intensely grinds out every line like he's chewing on a rusty nail. Sure, it's entertaining, but "unintentional comedy" is probably not the target Arrow is aiming for. It's what Blackthorne is giving them, though

Legends of Tomorrow: Wentworth Miller
Look, we all like Wentworth Miller. Prison Break was awesome, whatever. But that was a long time ago, so whatever cred he had built up? Has long since worn off thanks to his preposterously snarky delivery as Leonard Snart, better known as Captain Cold. It's a good thing Legends of Tomorrow is an ensemble with twelve hundred main characters, because every time Miller spits out a "witty" bon mot in his inimitable style, fingers across the country begin instinctively grabbing for the remote to fast forward. Which is too bad, because if he turned it down just a few degrees, his character could actually be cool. See what I did there?

Heroes Reborn: Zachary Levi
Chances are you weren't even aware someone is ruining Heroes Reborn, since you probably don't know anyone who actually watches it. So this is going to come as a major shock, but the culprit here is actually Zachary Levi. Yes, it sounds impossible! But Luke, the emo serial killer Levi plays, is such a cluster of nonsense that even Levi, who is usually excellent, just can't seem to figure out a way to make him anything but annoying and ridiculous. Of course, Luke seemingly exploded in a ball of fire at the end of last season, so it's possible that problem solved itself. If not, though, let's hope that if he ever comes back (and so far NBC hasn't renewed the series), he's mutated again—and turned Levi back into a good actor.
 The Flash: Candice Patton
The Flash is a really fun show. But it made one pretty big misstep right out of the gate: Candice Patton as Iris West. Part of it was the fact that Iris was both the Flash's step-sister and love interest, because really, that's weird. And not the good kind of weird we all want from superhero shows, the bad kind of weird that makes us need to take a shower. The rest of it, though, is Patton's flat delivery. Not to be a hater, but she's just not that great; is there anyone in the world who has cared at all about her whole "secret mom and brother" subplot? No. No there isn't. The less of her we get going forward, the better.

Agents of SHIELD: Brett Dalton
It's tough bagging on Brett Dalton, because the twist cliffhanger that ended the first half of season three might be the turning point for him and his character Grant Ward. After all, now that he's an undead
monster from another universe, there's finally a good reason for his wooden, spaced out acting style. So it's very possible that he'll stop ruining the show even if he doesn't get any better as an actor. But honestly, you guys, he almost single-handedly put the entire series six feet under in season one. Here's hoping that being murdered agrees with him.

Daredevil: Elden Henson
Daredevil might be the best superhero show on television these days, even if it technically isn't even on television. So it's a little odd that the hit Netflix series is being brought down by one of its most prominent characters and actors, namely Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson. As Matt Murdock's best friend and business partner, Henson carries a pretty big burden, and so far he doesn't seem quite up to it, with a wonky style that seems to be begging for a pre-recorded laugh track. Only, this isn't a 1980s sitcom, so nobody's laughing. We're just covering our face and watching between our fingers until Henson is off screen again. He is likeable though, so hopefully he'll pull it together. We're rooting for you, buddy!

Star Wars Episode 8 is Halfway Through Shooting

It might be a stretch to call the 2014 production of Star Wars: The Force Awakens a “troubled production,” but there were still occasional reports of not-so-great news from the set. Harrison Ford fractured his leg when a door from the Millennium Falcon fell on him. Production was delayed for two weeks as a result, with shooting plans moved around to account for Ford’s injury. Of course, despite the setback, that film went on to become a tremendous success, reinvigorating the Star Wars brand and setting the stage for what’s to come.

The next film in the trilogy, currently known as Star Wars: Episode VIII, has been in production since February, and thankfully the production has gone smoothly, with nothing as catastrophic as an injury to a key cast member to report. Sure, a small delay for the film’s release was announced back in January, but that happened with The Force Awakens, too. Now, thanks to the film’s director, eager fans can rest assured, knowing the film is halfway through production without a major incident to report.

Rian Johnson (Looper) posted to both his Twitter and Tumblr pages Thursday that filming on the new movie has reached the halfway point. The announcement came along with a couple of photos of Johnson in front of some familiar-looking sets.

Episode VIII began shooting at Pinewood Studios in the U.K. back in February, and this update from Johnson indicates that principal photography will likely continue until sometime in June or early July. That will give Johnson and the rest of the Lucasfilm team over a year to edit the film and to construct what will almost certainly be the elaborate and extensive FX shots required to create a galaxy far, far away, ahead of its release date on December 15, 2017.

So what can we expect from Episode VIII? The return of most of the cast from The Force Awakens for one, as well as the first words spoken by Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) to each other, which may at last provide some answers with regard to the questions of Rey’s parentage. We also know that Ridley has come into the film with much more lightsaber training, suggesting there will be even more extensive battles between would-be Jedi in the film. And finally, it’s a good bet that new characters like the ones played by Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern will finally make their introductions.

Is it a good sign that the shoot has been without major troubles on set? One would think so, although film history is full of examples of harmonious shoots that led to bad movies and disastrous ones that led to classics. But all indications so far hint that with Rian Johnson directing, Star Wars: Episode VIII is in good hands.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters on December 16, 2016, followed by Star Wars: Episode VIII on December 15, 2017, the Han Solo Star Wars Anthology film on May 25, 2018, Star Wars: Episode IX in 2019, followed by the third Star Wars Anthology film in 2020.

Captain America:Civil War shot in Nigera???

Just found something that will surely interest you if you love movies and you are restlessly waiting for the arrival of Captain America:Civil war
Was Part of the scenes in Captain shot in Nigeria(Lagos)?
This is what happens when Lagos gets recreated in Atlanta. With the yellow buses and people of color surrounding Captain America, one would think these scenes were shot in Lagos.
While a lot of people think the photos are 'fake,' others think there are photoshoped. With the yellow buses and people of color surrounding Captain America in photos, one would think these scenes were really shot in Lagos. You would have to agree that if it were shot in Lagos, you would get the same picture, but with an additional group of marketers, filming the superhero in action.
