Tv Series News: Blade, Ghost Rider, And Moon Knight Rumored For Netflix Series

While Marvel and Netflix are occupied with completing up their new arrangement and arranging out season 2 of Jessica Jones, there's gossip that those might make way for a greater amount of Marvel's properties on the popular streaminh administration.
As indicated by MovieCreedLive.com, their sources have said that those properties will, truth be told, be Blade, Ghost Rider, and Moon Knight. While there isn't some other data starting yet, we can at any rate speculate for a bit.
Blade and Moon Knight fit in impeccably with what Marvel and Netflix have officially done, that being road level characters with intriguing histories and character peculiarities. Blade is the best of the group outside of comics, yet there hasn't been another passage since Blade Trinity in 2004. The character is ready for this sort of appear, and it could do truly well for the system. Concerning Moon Knight, the character has huge amounts of potential, and in trusted hands could be incredible in this kind of arrangement. The split identity and Khonshu components of the character make a move to film entirely troublesome, yet in a drawn out arrangement that can truly dive into what makes him tick he could prosper.
Ghost Rider is the most fascinating decision, as he likewise has had some film achievement. The 2007 Ghost Rider was entirely effective, yet it brought forth a 2011 continuation that was a long way from generally welcomed. It would be the most impact overwhelming Netflix show to date for Marvel, and doubtlessly the darkest in tone. Still, I have confidence they could pull it off.

Movie News: Prison Break is Back! season 5 trailer has been released

It's been seven years since we last saw Michael Scofield and the Prison Break gang but, thanks to the first trailer for Fox's upcoming reboot, we've been reunited with some of the old familiars.
If you've concerns that the premise of the new ten-parter will stray from the original series' trusted formula, cast them to one side: it turns out Michael Scofield is alive, in prison and needs help breaking out.
Tipping off Scofield's brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) on Michael's whereabouts is former prisoner, Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell (Robert Knepper). After enlisting the help of Michael's 'widow' Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) - the former Fox River physician he meets in season one - plans are put into motion to get Michael out.
As it stands, there are lots of unanswered questions (mainly surrounding Michael's alive status) but we're sure the series will answer them in thrilling form when it returns this autumn.
Prison Break began in 2005 and tracked the story of Scofield who gets himself imprisoned with the intention of breaking out his innocent brother, Lincoln.
The show ran for four seasons before the axe fell; a supposed swansong arriving in the form of a wrap-up TV movie titled The Final Break in 2009. Fox and creator Paul Scheuring cited the show's Netflix popularity as one of the main reasons to revive the series which Scheuring has branded a "bit of a sequel."
Returning for Fox's event series are the characters Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre), Rockmond Dunbar (Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin) and Paul Adelstein (Paul Kellerman).

Tv News: Is Jussie Smollett Really Leaving Empire?!

2:00:00 AM
Following last night's shocking cliffhanger ending to the penultimate episode in Empire's second season where Jamal took a bullet meant for nasty ol' dad Lucious (Terrence Howard), Jussie Smollett sent fans who felt certain that their favorite character would survive into a frenzy with one little tweet.
The actor seemed to confirm that his time on the Fox hit was up, talking about his tenure on the series in the past tense and referring to his future, unrelated plans.
So, what is it? Is this just the latest in TV's long line of ruses this season to make fans at home believe their favorite characters really are dead, even though, in actuality, they are not? Or has the ratings juggernaut actually decided to kill off its prodigal son? (Our money's on the former, FWIW.) The actor has gone radio silent on social media since sending the tweet in question, while, as of press time, Fox hasn't responded to E! News' request for comment.
As gay middle Lyon child Jamal, Smollett immediately became one of Empire's breakout stars, second only to Taraji P. Henson's outrageous quote machine Cookie. The story of Jamal's sexuality, and how it's treated in the African-American community, proved to be a lightning rod, endearing the character to fans at home who'd yet to see their unique LGBT experience reflected on the small screen.
Only time will tell if Jamal actually pulls through and lives to see the show's third season. While we impatiently await answers from Wednesday's season finale, let us know your thoughts: Is Jamal really dead? Share your reasoning in the comments below!
The second season finale of Empire airs Wednesday, May 18 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
Do you think Jamal is dead?

The Secret Origin of Marvel Studios

Everyone knows that Kevin Feige is the go-to guy behind Marvel Studios. He is the keeper of the master plan that will see Marvel through its Phase 3 films and beyond – he’s also likely the one who has Marvel’s infamous NDA snipers on speed dial.
Looking back at the history of Marvel Studios, however, we can see that Feige wasn’t alone in crafting the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe. It turns out that a man named David Maisel not only played a big part but may have actually been the one responsible for Marvel’s winning formula.
According to THR, Maisel was an essential part of the plan to change Marvel Studios from a licensing shop for Marvel Comics characters to a full-blown production powerhouse. He joined Marvel in 2003, and it was during his tenure that the Marvel Cinematic Universe was conceived and launched. According to some sources, the idea to make films like Iron Man and connect them together in the MCU came entirely from Maisel. This claim is disputed by Avi Arad (Iron Man, The Amazing Spider-Man) and some others, but there is little actual evidence that Maisel wasn’t a key part of the MCU’s creation if not the initial creator. According to one executive who was around for Maisel’s tenure:
The concept of Marvel making its own movies and the financial model that allowed it, came entirely out of David’s head. It was the most impressive piece of pure intellectual structuring I’d ever seen.
Supposedly, Maisel approached Arad in 2003 and claimed that he could improve Marvel’s returns on its properties (since licensing characters doesn’t necessarily bring in a whole lot of money). Arad arranged a meeting with Ike Perlmutter where Maisel claimed he would at the very least be able to increase Marvel’s share of box office returns (which at the time was less than 5 percent) for future films. Perlmutter apparently liked Maisel’s ideas, because he hired him to serve as President and COO of Marvel Studios soon after.
Inspired by how George Lucas made the Star Wars films, Maisel sought to bring Marvel’s remaining characters to the big screen in a way that would tell a larger story though a series of largely self-contained films. He successfully blocked the licensing of Captain America and Thor to other studios, helped bring Iron Man back from New Line, and negotiated a deal with Merrill Lynch to fund film productions without Marvel having to pay out a dime. The movie rights to 10 characters and concepts were put up for collateral, so if the films had bombed then Merrill Lynch would have gotten the rights to Captain America, The Avengers, and several other characters (including Shang Chi and Power Pack).
The deal almost went south, but some creative maneuvering managed to save Marvel’s plan and get Iron Man made and out into theaters. Maisel climbed the ranks on the board, even as tensions grew between himself and Arad. This tension may be why Arad disputes Maisel being the creator of the MCU as we know it; the closest he comes to acknowledging Maisel’s contributions are stating, “Success has many parents. I respect David’s interesting mind.”
Maisel left Marvel when Disney bought the company, a deal that he helped to bring about as chairman of the board. Since then he’s largely been written out of the Marvel success story, though he doesn’t seem to mind; he’s been described as not being a “Hollywood guy,” and might have stayed largely out of the spotlight if he hadn’t noticed his mother playing Angry Birds one day. Now, he’s bringing that property to the big screen in this summer’s Angry Birds movie – which he pitched, negotiated, and created the backstory.
He admits, “It did hurt, that history was being rewritten a little bit” in regard to his seeming erasure from Marvel’s history. The credits scroll for Avengers: Age of Ultron did include a note saying, “Special Thanks to Marvel Studios Founding Chairman David Maisel,” though, which Maisel said helped him a lot.
The Angry Birds Movie opens on May 20th, 2016.
Captain America: Civil War is in theaters now, followed by Doctor Strange – November 4, 2016; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – May 5, 2017; Spider-Man: Homecoming – July 7, 2017; Thor: Ragnarok – November 3, 2017; Black Panther – February 16, 2018; Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 – May 4, 2018; Ant-Man and the Wasp – July 6, 2018; Captain Marvel – March 8, 2019; Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 – May 3, 2019; and as-yet untitled Marvel movies on July 12, 2019, and on May 1, July 10, and November 6 in 2020.

The Flash: Tom Cavanagh(Harrison Wells) Teases ‘Crazy’ Season 2 Finale

[SPOILERS for those not caught up on The Flash ahead.]
The Flash season 2 finale is coming up fast, which is more than can be said for Barry (Grant Gustin), who’s been forced to fight evil metahumans without his speed. Though the team has been working diligently to keep their former speedster in the hero business, even enlisting some genius biochemistry help from Harry’s daughter Jesse (Violett Beane), it’s clear that Central City is in serious danger without The Flash.
Season 2 episode 19, “Back to Normal“, revealed Zoom’s plan to return with Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) to Earth-1. In a prime example of “be careful what you wish for,” Ms. Snow’s desire to go back home has inspired Hunter (Teddy Sears) to conquer other Earths the way he’s triumphed over his own. While some creative solutions can help hold off the average metahuman threat, Team Flash is going to have to make some bold choices in order to defeat their most powerful and violently ambitious enemy by the time the season 2 finale is done.
In an interview on DC All Access, which you can watch below, actor Tom Cavanagh discusses upcoming season 2 episodes of The Flash, which includes his character Wells building to a second particle accelerator as part of the plan to take out Zoom. It’s a seeming necessity to get Barry his speed back, but Cavanagh stresses the one big problem that all viewers will be thinking: that “the first one blowed up.” Considering how far-reaching the fallout from the initial particle accelerator explosion has been, there’s no understating the incredible risk Barry’s taking with both himself and the rest of the world.
The synopsis for The Flash season 2’s penultimate episode has Zoom arriving on Earth-1 with an army of metahumans, plus Black Canary’s Earth-2 doppelganger Black Siren (Arrow‘s Katie Cassidy) leading the charge. Joining Barry in the fight is Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale), who’s been feeling some serious hero worship since The Flash rescued him from Zoom. In a war this big, casualties are likely, which Cavanagh possibly confirms.Joking that The Flash fans aren’t interested in “40 minutes of talking about feelings,” the actor promises that “crazy stuff happens” in the finale, and that “somebody” might die.
Viewers might instantly wonder if someone close to Barry, like any of his three father figures, will be the one to meet an untimely end in the Flash season 2 finale. Like Laurel’s death on Arrow, a meaningful loss is a way to vividly illustrate how high the stakes are in the hero business. Since the show is building to the ultimate battle between The Flash and Zoom, however, it’s also a possibility that Zoom himself could be killed, or that mysterious man in the metal mask back on Earth-2. Considering the light-hearted nature of Cavanagh’s comments though, it could also just be a bluff to keep fans guessing. Let us know in the comments who you think might have their final appearance in The Flash season 2 finale.
Arrow Season 5: Potential Villain Details Revealed

The CW’s Arrow is still finishing up season 4, but that doesn’t mean that producers aren’t looking forward to season 5 already. While the powers that be behind the show have intimated that Oliver may be making a trip to Russia, via the series’ flashbacks, there’s no telling where the fifth season will take Oliver and company in the present day. And although the setting may not be entirely clear, we may have an idea of what Team Arrow will be up against.
A new series regular being added to the show just may be the Big Bad of season 5. Described as “irrepressibly charming,” the new character is said to be a dangerous contemporary of Oliver’s with a mission of his own — a mission that isn’t too far removed from Star City’s Emerald Archer.
Identified only as “James,” TVLine reports that the new character is a “man on a mission” who is out to avenge a tragic loss from years earlier. The casting call for the character is seeking an actor in his late 20s to 30s of any ethnicity. Of note: the casting call pointed out the actor must be physically imposing, which isn’t too much of a surprise, given the physiques that are regularly on display in the series. What is interesting, though, is that James’ imposing stature will be countered by his charm and what sounds like a largely friendly disposition.
Giving an idea as to the sort of character James will be, he is described as being very difficult to read. According to the description, he will “just as easily shake your hand as your best friend or break your neck as your worst enemy — and you never know which one is coming. Either way, he’s more than capable of having a good time as he does it.” The idea of James “having a good time” while shaking hands and breaking necks sounds as though he has something of a villainous streak to him, but his status as a hero, villain, or something in between hasn’t been confirmed by the show as yet.
It’s hard to place this new addition within the DC Universe, since his general backstory could fit several different characters. It’s likely that the name “James” is just a codename to keep fans from figuring out the character’s identity too quickly. It’s also possible that the character’s description is being written as appearing villainous as a bit of misdirection to disguise a new antihero that will join the cast.
Regardless of whether the new character is a hero or a villain, his similarities to Oliver (especially in season 1) could bring an interesting dynamic to the show. It’s unclear whether James would make a more compelling ally or enemy, but either way, there’s a good chance that he’ll face off against Oliver at least once during season 5.
Arrow continues on Wednesday with ‘Genesis’ @8pm on The CW.
Ghostbusters Voted Most-Anticipated Summer Comedy

There are people on the Internet who really do not want to like Paul Feig’s upcoming Ghostbusters reboot; that much is clear from its trailer’s status as the most ‘disliked’ movie trailer in YouTube history. With Feig in the director’s chair and a roster of talented comedic actresses in the lead, though, not everyone shares that sentiment.
It is certainly true that there has been a vocal contingent of people online who do not like the idea of an all-female Ghostbusters team any more than they liked the idea of a female lead in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Feig has had little patience for such naysayers, though, responding to their criticisms in unapologetic fashion. While the old saying goes that it is easier to catch flies with honey than vinegar, it may be that Feig doesn’t need to win over those particular skeptics.
The results of a Fandango summer poll (via NBCUniversal) show that enough people are interested in Ghostbusters to make it the most anticipated comedy of the summer, ranking above Central Intelligence in the number two spot and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising at number three. That is not entirely surprising given that the trailer reached 60 million YouTube views shortly after its release, even if some of those views were from people who were hate-watching it. Ghostbusters is joined by Captain America: Civil War, which ranked as the most anticipated summer action movie, and Finding Dory, which ranked as the most anticipated family film of the summer.
Fandango offered some additional stats from their survey as well, including the following:
71% would consider seeing the same movie more than once on the big screen
66% plan to go to the movies at least four times this summer
60% expect to see more movies in the theater this summer than they saw last summer
That last statistic in particular is most important, as it means a possible increase in revenue for the movie industry this summer, after a weak year for movies in 2014 gave way to a much stronger showing in 2015, led by the aforementioned return of Star Wars to the big screen. The huge box-office success for Star Wars 7 showed that despite the protests of some Internet commenters, female-led movies can be every bit as profitable as their male-led counterparts. With Paul Feig having already proven the same for female-led comedies with Bridesmaids, The Heat, and Spy, that bodes well for his newest film.
Of course, there is still the possibility that Ghostbusters will not live up to such expectations. In comparing it to the competition, though, it’s hard not to think that Ghostbusters stands a strong chance of being the biggest comedy of the summer.
Ghostbusters will open in U.S. theaters on July 15, 2016.

Game Of Thrones’ Worst-Kept Secret: Jon Snow’s Fate Finally Revealed
Posted by

5:53:00 PM
Like the proverbial Glenn crawling from under a dumpster, Game of Thrones revealed Jon Snow’s fate Sunday, in the exact way everyone predicted it would last June. Melisandre used the Lord of Light R’hllor’s power to jolt life back into Jon Snow’s dead body, just like Thoros of Myr does for Beric Dondarrion—no warging, White Walkers, secret lineage reveals, or other creative twists necessary.
All it took to revive the dead Lord Commander was a wink-wink suggestion from Davos (here serving as audience stand-in, touting the same idea we waited ten months to see tested out) and a half-hearted attempt from Melisandre, who literally just mimics a thing she saw a guy do one time and lo and behold, it works. Jon Snow was too pretty to die after all.
When Melisandre began washing Jon’s wounds, I was among those who was sure she’d fail—a decisive, satisfying way for the show to quash that particular theory about Jon’s resurrection (one that somehow felt too obvious to play out onscreen). After Ghost suddenly awoke, hinting that Jon might have warged his way into his beloved pet wolf after all, it felt like a new mystery was ripe for speculation.
But in the end, it was the simplest answer the show chose to solve its Jon Snow conundrum: the Red Woman, whose real power we finally glimpsed last week, was the key after all.
Was this worth ten months of half-truths and outright lies from the show’s cast and creators? (For what it’s worth, Kit Harington says he’s sorry, everyone.) Was it worth every predictable beat in that final scene? It’s still early in the season—some storytelling masterstroke may still unfold to justify Jon’s death and the overly convenient nature of his resurrection. Or it might not and we’ve been trolled by yet another genre-TV juggernaut that underestimates its audience.
Predictable or not, Game of Thrones’ flimsy revelation at least succeeded where The Walking Dead’s Glenn stunt did not: it may have inspired a few eye-rolls, but it also made viewers want more of the story right away. That's what cliffhangers are supposed to do.
Part of the anticipation for next week comes from finding out whether the Snow Melisandre brought back is the same one who left us last season. No one comes back from the dead on Game of Thrones without losing some integral part of themselves. Khal Drogo became an empty shell when a Lhazareen priestess revived him. Even Beric Dondarrion, brought back six times the same way as Snow, tells Arya in Season 3 that he would not wish his fate on anyone. “Every time I come back, I’m a bit less,” he tells her. “Pieces of you get chipped away.”
Just the way Beric is driven by his last “mission” before death, the zombified Mountain now exists solely to serve Cersei (he was mortally wounded defending her in a trial by combat). Will the new Jon’s “mission” be uniting Wildings and Crows to defend the Wall, as he was so determined to do before Alliser Thorne betrayed him?
Or will his new purpose be more family-oriented? With Sansa on the way to Castle Black and Bran soon leaving his training with the Children of the Forest, at least a handful of Stark children are poised to finally reunite and, hopefully, retake Winterfell. There’s also the Benjen question: one of the last things on Jon’s mind before he was cut down was his uncle Benjen, whom Thorne and the other Night’s Watchmen lied about finding. (Coincidentally, we were reminded of the long-lost Benjen tonight through the first of Bran’s greensight flashbacks, in which a young Ned, Lyanna, and Benjen Stark talked to Hodor—aka Wylis, who spoke more than one word!)
Or Jon could really be Azor Ahai, the legendary figure in R’hllor lore who is reborn after “a long summer” once “the cold breath of darkness descends upon the world” and wields a flaming sword to defeat the White Walkers. Melisandre was once convinced this figure was Stannis; Jon seems a much better fit.
A Cersei resigned to her fate is just one more unsettling part of Game of Thrones’ new world order. Fanatics now rule King’s Landing. Dorne has been taken by coup. Ramsay reigns unchecked while the deserving Yara Greyjoy fights for her crown. And in a room in Castle Black, Jon Snow is back from the dead. Whether he’s here to save the world remains to be seen. We still know nothing after all.

Netflix and Marvel just made a big announcement

Marvel’s The Punisher Spinoff Series Ordered by Netflix
While the Marvel Cinematic Universe is gearing up to launch Phase 3 with the release of Captain America: Civil War, the television side of the shared superhero universe has been continually expanding both on ABC, which has a number of series in various stages of development, and on Netflix. The streaming service officially launched its New York City universe in 2015 with Daredevil, followed later in the year by Jessica Jones. Although other series like Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders team-up are set to arrive in the coming years, Netflix has also continued to develop the shows that have already premiered.
A second season of Daredevil premiered on Netflix earlier this year, expanding the Defenders universe by introducing Marvel Comics characters Elektra (Élodie Yung) and Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher (Jon Bernthal). Now, Netflix has officially ordered a spinoff from Daredevil based around fan-favorite character, The Punisher.
Marvel and Netflix officially announced the spinoff through a teaser video, with Bernthal set to reprise his role as Frank Castle and Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal, Casualty) joining the project as executive producer and showrunner. Lightfoot additionally spoke about exploring the character of Frank Castle:
“For me, the complexity and unpredictability of Frank Castle make him an incredibly compelling character and I couldn’t be more excited to dive into his world. After watching Jon’s performance in ‘Marvel’s Daredevil’ I could not be more excited to be working with him to further develop and progress the story of this anti-hero in a show of his own.”
This announcement arrives after rumors surfaced earlier in the year that Marvel and Netflix were working on the spinoff even before Daredevil season 2 had premiered. However, many of those involved with the Defenders universe refused to confirm the spinoff either way, and Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb later downplayed the rumors.
Now, The Punisher will be the sixth Marvel series to appear on Netflix, though the streaming service has yet to set a date as to when it will premiere. However, Marvel and Netflix have Luke Cage arriving later this year, with Iron Fist and The Defenders likely arriving in 2017 and a second season of Jessica Jones also in the works, The Punisher spinoff may not debut until 2018 – though Frank Castle could pop up in The Defenders or another of the series before then.
Or, Marvel and Netflix could rearrange this tentative schedule in order to have The Punisher debut sometime before The Defenders or Jessica Jones season 2. The studio and streaming service have kept its schedule largely under wraps, simply confirming the very next series set to premiere and only revealing release dates a few months ahead of time. So, it’s likely we won’t know more about when The Punisher spinoff will premiere until much closer to its release date – whenever that may be.

Not-so-super actors who are ruining superhero shows

There are a lot of great superhero shows on television these days. But there are also a lot of actors who seem to think their superpower is chewing scenery. That might work for Matter-Eater Lad (Google him), but it's coming pretty close to ruining some otherwise fun shows. Here's a spoiler-filled look at some actors who need to be reminded that with great power comes the great responsibility not to screw things up for everyone.
Arrow: Paul Blackthorne
Let's start right at the top with the biggest offender in superhero television: Paul Blackthorne. Blackthorne (right) plays police captain Quentin Lance, father of both Dinah and Sara Lance, occasional lackey to Damien Darhk, and the character voted most likely to make the audience burst into giggle fits at completely inappropriate moments. That's because Blackthorne hyper-intensely grinds out every line like he's chewing on a rusty nail. Sure, it's entertaining, but "unintentional comedy" is probably not the target Arrow is aiming for. It's what Blackthorne is giving them, though
Look, we all like Wentworth Miller. Prison Break was awesome, whatever. But that was a long time ago, so whatever cred he had built up? Has long since worn off thanks to his preposterously snarky delivery as Leonard Snart, better known as Captain Cold. It's a good thing Legends of Tomorrow is an ensemble with twelve hundred main characters, because every time Miller spits out a "witty" bon mot in his inimitable style, fingers across the country begin instinctively grabbing for the remote to fast forward. Which is too bad, because if he turned it down just a few degrees, his character could actually be cool. See what I did there?
Heroes Reborn: Zachary Levi
Chances are you weren't even aware someone is ruining Heroes Reborn, since you probably don't know anyone who actually watches it. So this is going to come as a major shock, but the culprit here is actually Zachary Levi. Yes, it sounds impossible! But Luke, the emo serial killer Levi plays, is such a cluster of nonsense that even Levi, who is usually excellent, just can't seem to figure out a way to make him anything but annoying and ridiculous. Of course, Luke seemingly exploded in a ball of fire at the end of last season, so it's possible that problem solved itself. If not, though, let's hope that if he ever comes back (and so far NBC hasn't renewed the series), he's mutated again—and turned Levi back into a good actor.
The Flash: Candice Patton
The Flash is a really fun show. But it made one pretty big misstep right out of the gate: Candice Patton as Iris West. Part of it was the fact that Iris was both the Flash's step-sister and love interest, because really, that's weird. And not the good kind of weird we all want from superhero shows, the bad kind of weird that makes us need to take a shower. The rest of it, though, is Patton's flat delivery. Not to be a hater, but she's just not that great; is there anyone in the world who has cared at all about her whole "secret mom and brother" subplot? No. No there isn't. The less of her we get going forward, the better.
Agents of SHIELD: Brett Dalton
It's tough bagging on Brett Dalton, because the twist cliffhanger that ended the first half of season three might be the turning point for him and his character Grant Ward. After all, now that he's an undead
monster from another universe, there's finally a good reason for his wooden, spaced out acting style. So it's very possible that he'll stop ruining the show even if he doesn't get any better as an actor. But honestly, you guys, he almost single-handedly put the entire series six feet under in season one. Here's hoping that being murdered agrees with him.
Daredevil: Elden Henson
Daredevil might be the best superhero show on television these days, even if it technically isn't even on television. So it's a little odd that the hit Netflix series is being brought down by one of its most prominent characters and actors, namely Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson. As Matt Murdock's best friend and business partner, Henson carries a pretty big burden, and so far he doesn't seem quite up to it, with a wonky style that seems to be begging for a pre-recorded laugh track. Only, this isn't a 1980s sitcom, so nobody's laughing. We're just covering our face and watching between our fingers until Henson is off screen again. He is likeable though, so hopefully he'll pull it together. We're rooting for you, buddy!

Tv News:Grimm Just Got Some Annoying News From NBC

As we are nearing the end of the TV season, the systems have begun to settle on choices with respect to which shows will push ahead next fall and which will be left in the dust. While NBC has reestablished Law and Order: SVU, Chicago Fire and a huge number of different shows, it now appears as though there may be less incredible news for one of those recharged dramatizations. This week, NBC settled on an extreme choice to eliminate the quantity of scenes requested for its otherworldly show Grimm. While not a cancelation, it isn't precisely uplifting news, either.
Grimm had been a steady performer on Friday nights on NBC during the first few years it was a part of the network’s schedule. This year, however, the show saw its ratings drop below a 1.0 on occasion as it dealt with solid competition from the CW, which moved Vampire Diaries and The Originals to Friday nights, and Fox, which also moved Sleepy Hollow to Friday nights. That’s not even counting ABC’s and CBS’ less supernatural Friday night lineups. Despite the numbers waning a bit, NBC ultimately opted to renew Grimm for Season 6 earlier this month. Now, the network isn’t exactly backtracking, but Deadline says Season 6 is looking like it will only be comprised of 13 episodes. Normally, a full order for a network TV show is at least 22 episodes, so 13 is a big difference.
Oftentimes, when a network chooses to cut back on an episode order after a show has been on the air for many years, it’s not the best news. In fact, a shortened season sometimes signals the end to a series, giving the show an opportunity to wrap up in a way that makes sense and also gives fans the most closure related to the most storylines. That’s exactly what Fox is doing for Bones when it returns for a shortened final season next fall.
Regardless, NBC isn’t willing to say that Season 6 will be the last for Grimm just yet. In fact, reports indicate that NBC’s episode order is open-ended. Thus, if Grimm does well after it premieres during the 2016-2017 TV season, NBC might just go ahead and give the show more episodes. If it doesn't do well, 13 might be all we get.
It’s a little early to speculate on how next season will shake out. Ratings are a key factor, but so is how well a program is doing when compared to the other shows that air on the same night or on the same network. One of the big things that Grimm has going for it is a committed and active fanbase, and hopefully that fanbase will tune in when the show returns for Season 6.

MOVIE NEWS: Weekend Box Office: The Jungle Book Remains King, The Huntsman Freezes Up

With no new significant competition at the box office this weekend, The Jungle Book held the number one spot for a second weekend in a row.
Adding $60 million, a typical 40% drop from its opening weekend, Jungle Book just missed $200 million, landing at $191 million. Despite that strong showing, it has yet to prove it has the stamina of Disney's other major movie on the market, Zootopia. Zootopia, now in its 8th consecutive week in the top five, dropped less than 20% from last weekend. With $316 million it has set a bar that Jungle Book may struggle to meet.
Prequel The Huntsman: Winter's War froze up solid over the weekend, tanking to the tune of just $20 million, well short Snow White and the Huntsman's $56 million opening in 2012. Foreign sales of $80 million helped bolster Winter's War against its $115 million production budget, but don't look for this limp performance to inspire Universal to pony up for a third installation.
A little known rated-R action flick Compadres opened quietly in fewer than 500 locations, but garnered enough attention to break into the top ten, banking $1.3 million for a ninth place opening.

This will be the first Wonder Woman-centric project since the failed TV pilot that was made a few years ago with Adrianne Palicki, but obviously has a chance to make a major impact on the comic book movie world (especially because of its lead female character). Justice League Part One – November 17, 2017
Warner Bros. what's more, DC Comics have been working for a considerable length of time to attempt and make a Justice League motion picture, and a couple of years prior even lined up a whole gathering for a creation that was to have executive George Miller in charge. Deferrals of a wide assortment have kept the undertaking from happening, yet the hold up will soon be over. On account of the developing DC Cinematic Universe, we will soon see one of the best superhero groups ever join without precedent for no frills on the extra large screen.
2018
The Flash – March 23, 2018
Taking after his appearance in a percentage of the other DC Comics motion pictures, Ezra Miller's Barry Allen will be in the spotlight in mid 2018, featuring in his own particular solo Flash film. Essayist Seth Grahame-Smith – known for his work on movies like Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Dark Shadows, and Pride and Prejudice And Zombies - is taking the steerage of the undertaking as his directorial debut, however it's indistinct on the off chance that he will likewise be building up the script.
One central issue check that encompasses the Flash motion picture is that it will be semi-contending with the exceptionally famous TV arrangement about the same character that is at present reporting in real time. When the DC Cinematic Universe Flash is circling in your nearby silver screen, fans will have seen about four complete seasons of Barry Allen enterprises on the little screen. By what means will the motion picture figure out how to feel new and unique? We'll simply need to endure and find.
Aquaman – July 27, 2018
In 2018, star Jason Momoa and director James Wan will take audiences to the depths of the ocean and see DC Comics’ King of Atlantis at the center of his own solo film. Nothing has been revealed about the plot, though one can predict struggles for the throne and battles between those from sea and those from land. Oh, and plenty of big, epic battle scenes featuring lots and lots of water. It really just wouldn’t be an Aquaman movie without it.
This project has a particular challenge ahead of it, if not just because its central character has been the butt of jokes for a few decades now – most mocking his somewhat silly water-based powers. That being said, DC Comics has done a great deal to redeem the character since the big relaunch that came with The New 52, and now many fans see him as an underwater badass (complete with a harpoon spear for a hand). The fact that one of the toughest and most terrifying Game of Thrones stars is playing Aquaman doesn’t hurt either.
DC comic aint stopping there,we will bring more updates about DC upcoming movies.
